my husband uses my bowls for salsa and they are permeated with garlic smell, how can i get rid of the smell.

use bleach, just fill the sink with water and add about half cup bleach, soak for about half hour to hour.

Try putting a few drops of vanilla extract into a bowl. Put the lid on it and set it aside overnight.
