as you know global warming and climate change are caused by the greenhouse effect. the sun's energy comes to the earth, reflected by the glasses, turns back to the sky and make the environment wamrmer. by the one hand, it helps to support life by wamring up the earth. but in the other hand, because of the increasing of industrial gases and destroying of forest, the amnount of carbon dioxie will be be increasing from the sea, humanbeing etc. the effect of the earth's warming is the ice from the two poles will be melting and that cause the sea level increase. that is the main reason for flood and hurricane happening every year in some countries and droughts happening in others. what we can do to prevent these?

The situation is more serious than we think and the first continent
that will be hit by the warming is America. The heads of G-8 tried to find a solution but none could agree because the industry would be affected. So they didn't find anything.
Yes,there are lots of people who share your opinion (I am among them) but the truth is that as long as those people are ruling things will get worse.
But there is still a chance that we make it stop only if we react on time.
Hope that helps

Hello Carol:

Did you mean "WARMING" as in getting hotter all the
time...

Or did you mean (like you said) WORMING, like maybe the earth was getting infested with worms.

Anyhow, the problem can easily be solved by planting
trees to replace the ones lost by deforestation in the
regions around the equator. All we need to do is have
every man, woman, and child on Earth plant 50 new trees.

though global warming due to greenhouse effect is alarming issue, many scientiests and geologists differ in their views. pollution is an eyesore for one and all and it needs to be minimised but greenhouse effect is not as damaging as being previously said and views of experts are changing.

due to green house earth will become warmer...agreed...polar ice caps will melt...agreed...sea level will alarmingly increse flooding the coastal areas across the globe...not agreed. cuase warmer climate will also cause greater evaporation, cloud formation and more rains, water level will not change drastically...infact warmer climates are better for living not the colder ones....planting large number of trees will definitely consume CO2 from air during day time but what about the large qualtity of CO2 released by these large number of trees during night time, will this not trap more heat. what about more water consumed by these trees.

my suggession is lets not get distracted by one sided thinking. think rationally the pros and cons of the the climatic changes and act accordingly.
