There is no need for outward purification since the Christian is the Temple of God. God purifies them.

You are referrring to the anceint mikvah. In those days people had to travel , usually by foot, to the temple to pray. By the time they got there, they were dirty and t he smelled. The mikvah was a bathing area right outside the gate closest to the temple. The idea was to be physically clean, as well as spirutally clean, before coming into God's presence. With modern day transportation, soap, and indoor plumbing, people can now take a bath before they leave home, stay clean on the way to church, and then arrive for services. The more important thing is to be clean spiritually before God. So, to answer your question, Christians would be considered as doing this, except not in the same way you do.

You must remember one thing, both Moses and Paul were Jews and so did what Jews did. They want to be clean when they present themselves to a very holy God. Even though we can call Paul a Christian there was nothiing wrong with him doing a few Jewish customs which he had grown up with, afterall Jesus was a Jew.

So no Christians do not have to have a physical sense of cleaniness but God does us want to try and maintian a spritually clean life.

I don't know about Christians, but I know that Muslims do perform ablution. We wash these body parts, in this order and three times each: hands, do gargling, clean nose, wash face, wash arms upto elbows, wash hair, ears and neck (these three parts only have to be washed once) and then wash our feet.

In a sense BOTH

A christian should not live with active sin in their lives AND a Christian will go to God in prayer to confess-forsake and find forgiveness for their sins
