Kerry said only the least educated soldiers would be willing to fight in Iraq. Being from a military family this just makes me angry. I know he's a Vietnam Vet, but how dare he?! Those men and woment don't have a choice, yeah they had a choice to sign up but they HAVE to go where this country sends them no matter what President Bush has done or not done. I think John Kerry is a disgraceful man and disgrace to his military background for criticizing our soldiers. Do you agree?

From what I was hearing on talk radio (right wing) last night, Kerry's mouth was the October surprise and will keep the republicans in their congressional seats.
Basically he was campaigning for the Republicans with that stupid remark............................
Part of that comment included something about studying and "getting smart". Huh!!!!!!!?????????????
You do not GET SMART...you either............ARE SMART or you are not smart.
Education makes you educated........not SMART.
How did he ever get in the senate????

Steve... there is no doubt that what John Kerry said was meant to be a shot at Republicans but to say that John Kerry was not referring to our military is just idiotic. There is no way that any reasonable individual can not see how John Kerry looks at our men and women serving. It is basically a modern day replay of what he said after returning from Vietnam.

If any Democrat does not publicly denounce this man as the jerk that he is then they are not any better.

I was very angry and upset that he dared say that. I'm sure I'm not the only person who will forever hold contempt for his comment. He's on drugs or something. That was my response yelling at the tv was that we need our military for all over the world and it will be the military that will protect his *** when a terrorist threatens our country. It is an honor and respectable profession in and of itself. Education doesn't mean jack when we need protection. Kerry is a case in point for I'm sure he's educated but quite stupid!!!!

The people of Massachusetts hate this guy, I know because I live there. If Bush had said this the press would be all over him like usual, and entire websites would have sprung up.

Kerry made a political blunder and exposed himself for the out of touch Massachusetts elitist people have claimed him to be.

He's done- Put A Fork In Him.

He is a disgrace and what his said was a disgrace. I would like to see the statics on how many soldiers have degrees. I bet it is really high. He also said that if anyone believes he meant that in a negative way the they are stupid. Sounds like he is just digging a bigger hole for his self.

I MADE THE EFFORT TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION SO I HOPE IT IS READ IN FULL:

We'll as a military service member yes I disagree, what mr. kerry seems to miss here is outside him and inside him, for instance, the fact that we are on an unpopular war and the re-enlistment rates are still high is not a matter of ignorance as much as a lack of choice.. as far as going or not going to iraq, all i have to say to him is do not judge us based on your own short comings! I'm sure that being a conciencious objector (coward) like yourself , and with your limited war experience in vietnam has lead you to believe you know us, No Im not offended that he disagrees as long as there are people like me willing to serve this beloved countries twisted minded fools like him can disagree all they want without fear of punishment or death wich is a hell of a lot more that what those people in Iraq had before we invaded their soil under lies. I do not pretend to know better than the president and that is why i do not make the decisions he makes that is his job and as the opposition in a democratic country is kerry's job to second guess him every step of the way, my job is to be the arm that carries the action of the will of the people of the united states, not england, not france and certainly not any country of the many that opposes us. I have accepted my place in the machinery of my society I cannot do it all by myself and that is why I accept the will of the government I with my vote helped or not to elect. It is only ethic not to agree with the consequences of the choice of the people but to accept it as the voice of the people. Being that said the will of the people is affected by the intelligence that there is on the brains of those who exercise that power, but hey as ignorant as the population that voted this guy in twice! they sure are not compared with the grate ignorance of those who did not exercise their duty and then complain that to me is the lowest form of life in this country, same parasites my tax money goes to support and same parasites now complaining about the war when back in 2001 they were all brainlessly flying american flags and claiming for war, spinless fools, the mistake is not of the soldier for carrying the duty he so ethicaly chooses to follow because he chose that path and swore his name and honor to, but on the cry babies in this country who do not have the intestinal fortitude to follow through with their own decision!

He was a disgrace when he served and even more so when he came home. Many of his comrades in arms do not believe he earned his purple hearts and he threw them away because he was ashamed of them. To my way of thinking he shamed himself when he did that and that was back in 70 or 71. Thank your family for their military service. Because of our military we have the right to speak out and be heard even if we disagree. John Kerry has forgotten who he needs to thank and chosen to insult with his remarks.

I am also offended, but he is from mass, that tells me what kind of people live there they also have a lush by the name of Kennedy they keep voting them in. Anything to put a stick in bush's eye even stepping on our brave soldiers to make a point.

He certainly didn't say it by mistake, so it has to be assumed he was sent to say it, which can only mean the Democrats are worried that their turnout will not be strong and they are trying to shore up the base. The riskiness of this move (outraging the opposition) indicates that they have a real problem

I agree with you totally.I have felt like he was a traitor for going to see the north Vietnamese in the early 1970s.And I think everything he does hurts America at home and abroad. He needs to move to France he sounds like just the right person to run there military.
