It is a serious crime to smuggle alcohol back through. There are also no tricks to it. A lot depends on how you are coming back in the country. If you are on a cruise, they rarely check bags. There are all those people trying to leave at once, unless you look suspicious they probably will not check you. That is unless you are one of the random few.
If you are on a plane, you are a lot more likely to get it. They will get into nature of your trip, how long, what you are bringing back, etc. If they do not like even one answer they will look through your stuff. It is not laughing matter if you get caught. There are several crimes you are committing, especially if you are underage.
The bigger question is why are you not declaring? Is it because you are underage. If that is the case, roll your dice and hope for the best. It would be a lot safer to find someone of age to bring it back for you, or just get someone in the states to buy it. Now if it is because you do not want to pay the fee, that is silly. The customs tax is about $2 per liter over the amount. Considering how much you save buying duty free this is a small price to pay. My wife and I brought 11 bottles of liquor back from our cruise, paid $22 in tax, and save probably a couple hundred still in what would have been paid in the states. We still have not even opened most of it... Just pay the tax and then you have nothing to worry about, trust me it is worth it.

Why would you want to? Unless you own a private yacht or plane there's almost nothing to gain and customs officials throughout the world know all the tricks before you can even think of them. In addition, they have absolutely no sense of humour.
I remember flying into Hong Kong, with Nepal, Burma and Thai stamps on my passport and accompanied by my husband and two children. The customs officer asked me if I had any drugs! I was just about to make some wisecrack when my husband kicked me on the ankle. (He wasn't a violent man, but he knew that I would have found the question absurd).
Not long ago, flying into Germany from Turkey, the customs didn't want me to open my suitcase, just to empty out my handbag, and they questioned me about the rings I was wearing.
It's uncomfortable, even when you are innocent. What's the point? Bragging to friends back home that you brought in 2 litres of spirits instead of the 1 permitted? Can cost you a lot.

Depends where you're smuggling to and from. We used to smuggle alcohol from Malaysia to Brunei by putting loads of pork at the top of the cooler (and the booze underneath).

Don't go through the red channel when you get to customs, use the chutney channel.

Tell them that it's not what they think, it's medicine for your sick grandmother or something. Or you could say that one of the Portland Trailblazers paid you to do it. LOL Good luck.

Just hold it in your hands in a clear plastic bag. The more obvious you are, the less they'll suspect you.
