I was at the train station and exchanged smiles with a girl that was walking past me. She stood probably a metre or so away and then a couple of minutes later I turned around and she was practically standing right next to me...then the train came and she moved away. Was this her way of showing interest and when I didn't make a move she moved away?
And, a few days ago I exchanged a smile and some words with another girl. When the train pulled in I took one of two spare seats, giving her the chance to sit with me. I don't know if it was my imagination but it looked like she kind of 'twitched' as she walked past, maybe like she was thinking of sitting next to me? What do you think? I'm hoping I'll bump into her again, try and start a proper conversation. So what do you think?

Nah, it probably wasn't your imagination, but you got to get yourself to make a move! Strike up a conversation when you have the opportunity-worse thing that will happen is she won't be interested. And if she is a girl who is worthwile and friendly anyway then when won't be nasty to you but be rather she will friendly. Then you have a full train ride to sit and chat and eventually get her number. Don't make it look like you are desperate, ie don't call her every 5 mins or sms every 5 mins, but rather leave her waiting now and then and even let her call/sms you before you do at all! Good luck with the chicks;)

Its always hard to tell because people are never sure how you will react. Best thing to do if you feel an interest is find ways of starting a conversation. If she responds chat a while and see what develops. If she is interested the conversation will come easily if she isnt she will move away or just give short answers. Make conversation and watch the body language. Neve miss an opportunity just becuase you were afraid to ask. This works with guys also

Well, lets not forget that we're talkin about strangers at a train station here. If you are curious the next time, then just make conversation and find something that is common for your both. Then you can use that as a base and exchange email addresses.

It's hard to tell what a girl is thinking. Me being one myself would prob think one of two things. This guy seems nice should I or shouldn't I? Then the other. Maybe I should stay clear of this guy. I know what guys want. See it's so hard. If you see this girl again. Talk to her and then you will know how she feels about you.

the girl that didnt sit next to you was nervous i guess and the woman that stood near you was waiting for you to make the next move, which never came so she gave up. (unless she was getting closer to get on the train (doors))

Be friendly and talk to her. Don't use a 'line', just be yourself. If she gives you a 'brush off', then move away - you lost nothing by trying.

I think you passed two golden opportunities. All you had to do is say "Hi, where are you going?"....or "hi, is this seat taken?". He who hesitates....loses!
