I have always had a fairly high self-esteem and believed that if a guy was really into me and it was meant to be it would just happen naturally. I have strict rules about not chasing a guy and not letting any guy mess me around. But im starting to doubt all these rules because at least the last 4 guys i have considered settling down with, have told me they feel im too good for them. im somebody they would consider "one day", "in a long term reloationship", "being married to" etc. Its starting to really effect me. should i start smoking? being a tart? acting like all the other girls? maybe there just isnt anybody out there good enough for me. maybe it is me! maybe i dont deserve somebody with the standards i expect. i give up... my head is spinning.. pls help?? i really dont know who to be anymore.

Often guys dont hae the heart to let nice gal down and want you to know that as gentle as possible so as to avoid being on the receiving end of a gals hurt anger. If you really dug you would find ther is something that they arent telling you that they want and so it si best to find someone who is into you for sure. Aslo guys often dont know what they want as early as the ladys and you knowing what you wnat mayy actually belive t or not be intimidating

it's only right for u to be urself.. not only u, in fact all girls should not allow any men to mess ard with them.. but sometimes u got to loosen up a bit... if u sinply haf rules for everything u do, don't u think it's a lil boring? sometimes u need to spice up ur life a bit, especially so when u r in a relationship... u need to have fun and guys simply love fun! i understand ur principles abt not chasing after the men and stuff like tat, but u muz remember we r in an ever changing world.. nowadays girls and men are of equal basis when it comes to certain things.. u gotta change ur mindset a little to adapt to the changes ard u.... but tat doesn't mean u have to change urself.. so u tink only girls who smokes haf a future? u tink only tarts deserve to get married? No matter how 'bad' a man is, they will still look for a girl who can be a wife to them.. not a slut.... Juz relax n have fun ok? Don't stress urself up by having high expectations.. Sometimes the average Joe can be THE man in ur life too u know......

people who have personal rules always end up either not living by them or falling flat on their faces. whats wrong with jumping in blind and letting fate work it's mystery. everyone has felt the same way. don't expect nothing, you may be suprised. all my life i've waited for someone to just "get me". my fiance is the only person to get my obscure jokes or weird humour or understand me at all. turn the corner and bang! you could walk right into your soulmate either today or tomorrow, put the rulebook away life isn't a football game.

No, no, no! Be yourself, you don't change for the guy, but you do compromise when needed. You just had a bad run, lots of people go through several relationships before they're set in a good one. Don't give up!!

Never be anyone, but yourself.
Don't even begin to play that game. It's too easy to wake up one day, and find that you have "lost yourself". That you don't even know who you are, anymore. It happened to me.
Be patient. The right one will come for you, when the time is right. God makes things happen when they are supposed to. Keep the faith.

Don't change your principles just 'cos 4 guys told you that you are too good for them. It just goes to show they are not ready for a fully commited relationship. Be true to yourself and if that is who you are, remain that way. There'll be someone out there who will accept you the way you are.

Be you. Don' settle. They feel intimidated. but there is someone out there who will not be intimidated and you won't have to lower your standards. Be happy being alone first because you shouldn't rely on a relationship to make you happy.

No, you stay yourself. And if guys don't like it, who cares? I mean really, do you want a boyfriend that doesn't respect you or one that loves and respects you and treats you great? Just sounds to me like you treat yourself with respect and ask the same thing from others. Be yourself.

Be yourself. Whatever makes you happy is who you should be. Don't change who you are for some guy. If you want to change, change for yourself.
FYI there are plenty of men out there for you just be patient.
