Some Democrats seem to think that terrorism started with 9/11.
They forget the US targets were hit 8 times during the Clinton administration, (Before Bush became president) and absolutely nothing was ever done about it.

Democrats have no answer to terrorism. Fighting terrorism needs guts. Pandering to the liberal media and trying to be popular will not make us safe. Tough problems need sacrifice and hard solutions. America was not built on lemon juice. We need people like President Bush.

Terrorism and the situation in Iraq have no link. Unfortunately Iraq was a secular dictatorship which was an enemy of the terrorist which we are fighting. When we removed Saddam, we opened the door for countries like Syria and Iran, which support radical militant terrorist groups like the ones disrupting the forced democratic process in Iraq today. Terrorism does not have roots in Iraq, so whether we pull out or stay, it will have little effect on whether terrorism exists. If we want to attempt to solve the problem, we need to address it. The war in Iraq should probably be reassessed to conclude if it is possible to reach the goals of the Bush administration. Separately the war on terrorism should be examined again to see if we are targeting the actual sources of those terrorist threats. There is no easy answer. Neither Republican or Democrat is likely to come up with the answer. We need to work together and reassess the situation constantly. Terrorist groups constantly change goals and methodology. So should we. In the end though, we must stay vigilant and make sure we do no succumb to fear and change the way we live and the freedoms we enjoy. If we do, they win.

What is that guy talking about when he says the Bush Administration did not try to kill Bin Laden? We went to Afghanistan to get him. I sure would say that is more then Clinton did. Clinton maybe funded some groups or launched some missiles, but nothing compared to the efforts the Bush Administrations put into getting him.

I think that the Democrats if they got into the White House they would be so passive and blasa that anything could happen. Right know there trying to sponge up all the people that have gone against Bush and trying to win the contest of whose sweeter. America in these trying times need a President that grabs the bull by the horn and doesnt worry about the popularity vote. But if you vote in a President that is going to be turning a blind eye to any kind of terrorism then your country will be in major trouble. Please to keep peace in North America do not vote in a sissy President who just wants to be popular, because once his four years is up and if something major happens in U.S.A he'll be flying out of the White House On his ___! Or maybe even earlier.

How do Democrats "seem" to think terrorism started with 9/11?

How seriously did the Bush administration "seem" to take terrorism when they didn't meet about it once -- how many times? One? No. Less than that -- prior to 9/11?

I mean, it's not like Clinton told Bush that terrorism should be his number one concern. Oh wait. He DID.

Well, it's not like Clinton tried to kill Bin Laden while he was in office. Oh wait. He DID. But Bush did too. Oh wait. No he DIDN'T.

Ok, ok. But at the very least, it's not like Richard Clarke -- Clinton's anti-terrorism specialist -- wrote a memo to Condoleeza Rice in January of 2001, warning of the grave danger posed by Al Qaida.

Unless you count this:

Yep, the Dems didn't even know about terrorism until September 11, 2001, when our saviour and hero George W. Bush saved all of us. We'll be in dire straits if we put them back in charge.

Get a clue, bro.

No, I think the attitude is more like , "perhaps if we withdraw they'll back off" which off course is completely erroneous, this is based on a lot of extremist-islamic propaganda on the question of why are they fighting us and the common reply is that the goal of the muslim nation is to keep the US away from muslim affairs and soil. Off course this is not true their aim varies from group to group, our mistake is that we have antagonized them to the point that groups that otherwise were killing eachother are uniting to fight us.
we are playing a dangerous game that isolate us and gives us an image of sobervious imperialistic aggressors, one cannot win against odds like that, look it up in the history books.
We are through one or many turns of fate as a global military, economic, and social empire bigger than any other before, but we are spread to thin and therefore vulnerable from our flanks...we leave in a mindless society, i like to call it the "jerry springer" society, ignorance , money and sex are the main focus of our lives and we fill on it untill we fill guilty and empty and then we try to fill it up with God as if God is gonna fix it all up all of a sudden, its not the faith (althou necessary) but the actions of good men that will turn the tide. here. We allready went to Iraq and afghanistan, i'm not ignorant enough to believe closed-eyed the reasons they have lead us to believe we are there in the first place but that dont mean some of those reasons aint true! as long as we are divided, black and white, young and old, democrat and republican, liberal and conservative , we might as well give it up!!!

Terrorism will never go away! It just won't be in our front door. Where is your support for the young men who are over there away from their families?

Yes, get out of Iraq ASAP...that's the order of the day, but support them who are over there, don't make it into another Viet Nam story where soldiers were spit on when they came home.

You sound like a swift boat believer. Do a modicum of research then ask again about those absolute nothings and what democrats think.
