You are risking Legal action ...big time !!! When you activate Windows your P/C logs details of your Hardware systems and issues them with a security code identity which identifies your machine on the Microsoft database.Microsoft have a database of dodgy Product Keys and are catching up fast with the pirate copies.Activation of your copied software puts you in the frame mate!!! Buy a legal copy and save yourself big trouble.Iv'e been building Systems for years using Licenced Windows Operating systems and I know of loads of System builders who have cut corners and have now got lovely big fines to pay to Mr.Gates.Use your loaf and get an OEM Licence at least !!!

Microsoft introduced activation and the Windows Validation Tool because there were so many pirate copies of Windows in circulation.
Those of us stuck with using Windows are also stuck with the Validation tool; which is ridiculous. I should only need to use it once; having installed a legal Windows I'm not going to replace it with a pirate version.
Legal Windows oem only costs about £60, you can get it from loads of online stores if you buy something cheap like a mouse.
Linux Ubuntu is free.

I could tell you, but then I'd be commiting an offence too.

You have to think of the operating system as a part of your computer that you can't do without, and factor that cost into the price when you are buying a new PC.

Or you could go linux or dr dos if you are that tight!

Well, if your cheating with an illegal copy, that's your choice. But if you must, look for a Windows Activation KeyGen.
