Your BF is understandably hurt when you described your feelings for another guy as "special". You need to assure him that there is a difference between the feelings of love you have for your BF and the feelings you have for the other person as a friend.

You have to be very delicate and very specific if you want to express something like that to your partner. I have an ex and I have fond memories of some of the times we've shared, but in order to express that to my partner I have to make SURE that she knows that it's all in the past and it's just memories. Not some lingering longing for that person. Almost everyone would react the same way, if you feel so special about that other person GO BE WITH THEM!!! Know what you mean and make sure you mean what you're saying.

Hi,your boyfriend probably feels betrayed, men are weird about their girls having feelings for another no matter if you act on this or not.Stop and evaluate who has your love, dont let some five minute romance ruin what you already have, you loose that and you may never find love again.Check what is in your heart, and weigh the outcome if you pursue the old friend. What is his intentions?

I guess I respect your honesty, but was there really a good reason to "Go there"?? If he's mature, he's appreciate your honesty, and try not to feel threatened, but then again, what's in it for him? Only the knowledge that there is someone other than him that you find special and attractive. How would you feel if the situation was reversed? Be honest with yourself.

Im curious as to what you mean by " special" Im guessing it's romantic feelings if you felt you had to tell your BF. I digress, your bf is or was jealous, and that jealousy has translated into anger. He has the right to feel this way, especially if he loves you.

of course he should, if you do have feelings for another guy, I'm sure he donesn't want to hear about. Some times it's just best not to say anything at all. That's like telling a girl she looks fat in a dress.

Yes, there is 'cos when you love someone you shouldn't have any special feelings for another only plantonic feelings. To have special feelings it means you are not truely in love with him.

I must be different than most guys(at least what is perceived on yahoo answers)...
If I were your bf...
I know people cannot help what the feel for someone
I'd want you to have your happiness.
If I remained your bf
then
I'd have to believe that your feelings for me were the stronger feelings.
.
.
maybe that is why I don't have a gf...
.
.
maybe my gf will be a woman different than most women too.
.
.
hm?...
