cidaemon.exe is driving me nuts and it wont go away.

I know it's an indexing process and I've unchecked indexing for the drive but cidaemon.exe still spawns relentlessly slowing my computer to a crawl.

End process in task manager only works for a few minutes at most.

How do you stop cidaemon.exe?

Stop it with the Task manager and try uninstalling using Ccleaner.
If that doesn't work then its acting more like a trojan than a program!

Go to Start - Run and type in
msconfig
Click the Startup tab and see if its listed there, untick it and save the change. When you restart it shouldn't load (fingers crossed) so quickly start up Ccleaner and uninstall it.

If you're nervous about using Run then instal Winpatrol and try that.

If none of these suggestions work then try

I hope you re running some form of anti-virus & ani-spyware.

Get spybot search & destroy. It's free! Run a scan with that.

All else failing, it's a format I'm afriad.
