Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari of jama Masjid did not allow the sniffer dogs to enter the Mosque, after the blasts on 14th April, 2006, after the usual Asar Namaaz at one of the ancient mosques in the Capital. This is due to the fact that Muslims do not allow anyone other than followers of Islam in the place of Prayer. So also dogs.

Mohammad, in Quron has given sermons to Muslims to kill dogs and doges are hated by Islam. One aspect in which this is manifest is in his attitude toward dogs. He made a number of irrational comments about dogs. His beliefs on dogs may have come from various sources such as cultural bias, pagan concepts, demonic influences, or perhaps from his own imagination. In any case they portray a man ascribing to superstition. His perspective concerning dogs is somewhat bizarre and deserves a close examination. For this reason the sniffers were not allowed.
