It's generally believed that you shouldn't eat at least two hours before you sleep so your body doesn't stay awake digesting food when you're trying to rest.
Eating late at night also is bad for you as it keeps your metabolic rate active when it should be shutting down.
You should eat the bulk of your food early in the morning and a small dinner in the evening.

It's not bad if you're having some activity after that.
Generally, eating too much in the night when we have then to hit the sack just is a bad habit! To avoid gastrointestinal problem we always should go to bed after the digestion.

Well look at it this way......you eat then just sit and go to bed your not burning those calories/fat you've been eating ...... it's a bad habit to get in and hard to break. ...... it's not healthy for you and will make you over weight....try some fresh fruit, some cereal (good stuff) not coco puffs, try drinking water add lemon or slice of orange (water is so good for us) .I once was over weight for my height so I put a picture on the frige of what I looked like at the time and one before I gained there was my choice pick at night with kids and get bigger push away and I could lose (but healthy) I lost the weight

Really bad! Force yourself to eat breakfast even if you're not hungry! Then eat a healthy lunch and dinner and you will no longer have the desire to eat late at night.

I have heard that you should not eat past 6 oclock if you go to bed at 10 or try not eating 4 hours before you go to bed. Your body needs to digest the foods. Try drinking more water to suppress your appetite before bed.

After the latest survey's it doesn't matter what time you eat it's only the amount/fat/cholesterol etc. that count's. If you're a so called "night-bird" stick to it.
