Umbilical hernias usually disappear with age, but if this one is huge, leave it alone unless bowel gets trapped in it, and I have never heard of this happening.

my daughter had the same problem .. eventually it went down and they decided not to operate
just treat her as normal ....unless you are really roguh with her then it will not affect her ... ( its nt like we are rough with little ones any way )

they usually need no treatment and heal themselves once the child is mobile,they are harmless
