You are stating a fact rather than asking your question. Are you wondering why the Maltese do not celebrate Halloween?

If so, then I'm quite sure that it's because Malta is still a devoutly Catholic country. Halloween is the eve of (the evening before) All Hallows (also known as All Saints Day), when witches, spirits etc were once believed to walk. Not compatible, you see!

Many Christians who want to give their kids a party celebrate All Saints Day, 1st November, instead.

Thank you for the information, I really didn't know this before. I love Malta and visit often, usually for the celebration of St Paul's shipwreck in Feb. Maybe I'll see you there in 2007!
