Because they now have what they figure is freedom and they are living it up, momma and daddy not there telling them that they can't. You will find a nice girl that isn't that way, just be patient.

simple teenage rebellion. Some nice girls are often sheltered while they are young, treated like princesses by the family, then all of a sudden they have freedom to go out and because they have never experienced things gradually, like normal teenagers, they go crazy and do it all at once.
