Equipment? All you have to do is put plant matter, paper, and other organic material in a pile and keep it moist. It rots down and there you have it!

Leave horse or cattle manure in a heap to age and go black - there you have it!

Put plant trimmings in a barrel with water and leave for a few weeks - there you have organic liquid fertiliser!

You only really need equipment if you want to do it commercially. In that case they use sealed containers and can produce good quality consistent organic manure in a few weeks.
