Perhaps they feel that this is the easiest way, legalize them all. They need the backing of the big bucks to further their political ambitions. Maybe they feel that we the people will just begin to handle it on our own..
What will the politicians do when we the people will being to handle this on our own - many are preparing.
Has the AMERICAN people had enough of being pushed aside by our government. It's hard enough to continue to have legal immigrants come, with the way it is economically, but to have illegal aliens come here destroys the economy even more. Sorry you may not feel that it does.
I for one, with be P.O.ed and feel like this government has little to no regard for it's own people. Much like I had felt in the 80's when they it back then as well. Every family then was given $50,000. or more, to begin a new life here. Excuse me!

Since the majority of legal Americans are firmly against amnesty, its unlikely that they will be legalized.
But I never underestimate the power of big business here in my country. They will try to force this issue down our throats,to push their own greedy, self interest, the hell with the American worker agenda.
Theses illegals are different that the ones that were granted amnesty before..Theses illegals seem to hate this country and all it stands for. They talk of taking over this nation, they desecrate our nations flag and march in the streets shouting their hate while demanding "rights".
They have angered the legal Americans, that love and respect this country with their blatant hate of anything American.Amnesty will never happen if it would be in the hands of legal voting Americans. We don't need people that hate this nation to be here .That's a dangerous situation to me.

Amnesty won't be happening again anytime soon. The Citizens of this country remember when President Reagan said that Amnesty would Never be passed again, that when he allowed it that it would be the last time.
Now look at us 20 years later and here we are again. With even Higher numbers.

There is no way Congress, the president or anyone else will get approval for that. They should not be made legal unless they come here through legal channels. That is basically saying anyone can come here and break the law without punishment.

I hope the politicians realize that to reward a bunch of illegals is a kick in the teeth to legal immigrants and U.S. citizens alike.

Unfortunately very likely. Then we will have a flood of illegals into this country trying to become citizens. And they will not have to learn a word of English to do so.

That depends on who you vote for next week. The Republicans are much more likely to legalize them because their rich buddies want cheap labor and don't give a dam what the people think.

I think it is up to the illegals to work to become citizen of the US. Only they can do the paper work and the things that need to be done. If we wanted to be a citizen of Mexico we would have to work with the government. My nephew works for a door company in Mexico, just over the border. They make doors and sell them in the US. They won't let him live there. He crosses back and forth everyday in order to go to work. If he was sneeking over the border he would be jailed in Mexico.

If they are already here and established themselves as business owners, have a career, pay taxes, own a home, etc, I'm sure that these people will be encouraged to become citizens.

If not, they should either become one or get deported.

i dont know..i just think that they get the murderers and rapists back to their country of origin, and that the ones who deserve to stay should file for papers so they can help out the country by paying taxes. i trust in the government's system.
