first of all, if you are already wanting to get a cover-up after only having the tattoo for six months definitely think about this one. i know from experience that you don't want to have a coverup over a coverup over a coverup. i am currently working on covering some old tattoos. please find an actual artist that will create something unique and artistic for you. i don't know why people just walk in a chose a picture off of a wall that hundreds of other people have as well. as far as time, enough time has passed for you to get it covered up. but just be sure it's what you really want this time.

As long as the original tattoo is healed (after 6 months, it is), you can get a cover-up done.

The skin takes the ink just as well 6 months after the fact as it will 6 years from now.

My high-quality buddy bought a tattoo while she was once sixteen through a man that labored within the Game-give up subsequent to wherein she labored. Can you are saying relatively dangerous notion. Anyways, she bought 2 pistols on her hips. They have been blue and beautiful gigantic, and horribly performed. When she was once 18 she went to a reputable tattoo save, confirmed them her tattoo and the artist designed a canopy up tattoo. It fee her $2 hundred an hour, however the brand new tattoo is lovely and you'll be able to by no means inform they have been pistols. She has a pair plants (I overlook which style) however the artist used the blue at the pistols as good as reds, oranges, and yellows. The factor is, it may be performed. But you have to get it performed proper and it'll typically be pricey. But it's in your frame for the leisure of your existence so it's valued at the funding.

After 6 months you should have no problems. For some people who are having larger tattoos done it takes more than one session of tattooing to complete. Usually the time frame in between each session 2-3months I believe. As long as the tattoo is completely healed (6-8 weeks) you have no worries.

You can do it as soon as two weeks. Since your tattoo will not be old and faded it make it harder to cover. You will probably need a few laser sessions to lighten it. However I can't see your tattoo so you're best bet is to go talk to an artist.

when you get a tattoo think of it as an open wound it takes time to heal and the healing process usually takes about a month to 2 month depending on the size....but six months yeah the ink should be no problem

6 months is more than enough time to have the original covered-up.

Well what do you mean by cover up? With clothes or with a plaster or bandage? Wait til it heals completely before you put any adhesive on it,should take a few days/weeks depending on the size.
