I have before said that I'd go to church if they started singing the popularized version of "oh happy days", but I guess the Sister Act songs are good too.

I'd probably hang around until the preacher started using emotional rhetoric, which is to say, probably directly after.

Walk into any Church in the US where the population is Black and you will hear a beautiful Choire with songs like the ones you are talking about.

I've seen sister act 1 and 2--aside from the first one with their upbeat version of 'hail holy queen' all they did was slaughter a lot of good songs

If your question is specific on "go to church" only, the answer is yes. But their true purposes will not be the way you expected.
