I am attracted to this lady but she is a co-worker and I do not want my emotions or feelings interfere in her work and career. She knows i I feel for her but she also remembers past experience which caused her pain in her life from a past relationship and I don't think she wants to go thru that pain again. can someone pls give me some good, mature advise (with a bit of humour in it coz I like to see the funny side of life). HELP!

You did not state whether you both are friends. Perhaps by living together you both can see whether you can spend the rest of your life together. Working at the same place should not be a problem as it is variable.

Hm...be funny around her- and always smiling.. Be nice and say something about a date and in a jokin manor while you walkin by if she looks frustrated or anything...say something like "youknow if you go on that date with me you wont look so upset" and smile and keep walkin... anything like that to make you look confident...give the image that you want her but you'll live without her...trust me it works...

And the situation about her pain in her past relationship...dont even bother with that..she'll decide that on her own...the more you talk about it the more she thinks about it...so if she sees you as someone fun to be around...she'll do it...

BUT and this is only a last resort....try the other thigns first....BUT you can always use reverse psychology....this will work most everytime too....if she says she's just not ready for a relationship and she seems to stick to that...one day say..."well i was gonna ask you out today but your probably right...your probably couldnt handle going out yet" and shrug and walk away....human nature is to instantly think the opposite and she'll think "what? i can do what i want"

1. You work with her. Always a dangerous proposition. 2. Shes spooky about getting involved with anybody. Especially somebody she works with...2 strikes against you before you even get to see what kind of panties she likes to wear. I'd let this 1 go. Be friends with her at work. If, you can convince her to go out for a drink or dinner. Keep it really low key, NO pressure and you might real her in. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Give her more space. The time is the best answer - if she is really interested she wants to see you if not , give up.
Move on.
Is hard to change people if they don't want be hurt. Only if they see something very stable can works for you.

My best advice..... Don't date a co-worker. It makes for a hostile work environment.
