Why didn't he heal himself after crucifiction? He had the ability to bring back the dead and heal the sick/ill. Christians beleive that he died for them, and Muslims beleive that he did not die he was raised up and whoever died was an evil man who appeared to people as Jesus.! Because god would not let him die and be tortured. Please no profanity and be civil,

Why would god let man kill his son, if like some claim that Jesus is the son of god, why would he let him die for you, we are all here to abide to gods rules. if you claim that u are saved, then what is the point of being here on earth. Then there will be no difference between a murdered and a good person.

He did ... sort of ... the Resurrection was the way Jesus healed himself. But he had to die first, otherwise his human existence would have been for nothing.

Jesus HAD to allow himself to be put to death by the forces of evil in order for Satan's power over mankind to be destroyed.

This wasn't something God thought up. It was necessary because of the particular circumstances and consequences of Adam's sin.

Adam legally transferred all his God-given gifts to Satan in exchange for the knowledge of good and evil.

In the process, and likely unknown to Adam at the time, mankind became enslaved to Satan, and had no means of ever getting free.

That's why God had to send his son as a man, to free us.

Under God's law, Satan could put any sinner to death, as death was the penalty for sin.

But Jesus had no sin, so Satan had no power over him.

Satan arranged to brutally torture and kill the innocent Christ, anyway, and that was his undoing.

Since no one had the right to kill a sinless man, let alone the only begotten Son of God, Satan was suitably punished for his crime, and was stripped of all that he had gained from Adam's sin.

Mankind was freed from slavery.

God the Father was pleased.

Jesus rose again from the dead.

Jesus was appointed the new and sinless leader of all mankind.

Man repented.

God forgave.

The church which Jesus founded carries on with his work of salvation.

And here we are!

Without Christ's suffering and death, we would all still be slaves to Satan, sin, and death.

Instead, thanks to God's total self-giving for our salvation, we can now be co-heirs with Jesus Christ in God's eternal family.

JESUS HAD and HAS the POWER to HILL. Come to my Church and U'll hear LOT of testimonies about HILLING. Why should Jesus hill himself after crucifiction, when he already was raised from the dead by the Power of God and was GLORYFIED and got a NEW BODY?!?!?!?!?!?!
I believe that I'm hilled and that I have God's Power inside me to pray 4 others, to pray for their hilling.
READ CAREFULLY Isai 53:4-6 and 1 Peter 2:24.

cutie JESUS did have the power to jump off that cross and severely thrash the sadducees and the roman guards who beat HIM,gambled for HIS tunic, whipped HIM with the whip that had metal attached to tear into HIS blessed body and cursed HIM like a common criminal. it hurts me to tell this terrible story but i will continue.JESUS did what HE did because GOD HIS FATHER wanted this to happen. JESUS died for all mans sins so we the vile wicked people that we are could have everlasting life after we die but have life more abundately.that is if we that believe in HIM will be able to have everlasting life in heaven for eternity.as JESUS was on the cross dying the angels wept and our HEAVENLY FATHER looked away from what was happening.read JOHN 3:16 and if you believe you too can have life eternal and spend eternity with our blessed LORD and savior JESUS CHRIST.i dont understand muslim religion enough to collaberate on what they believe. i do believe that soon and very soon the SON of man will descend from the heavens and take us all that believe in HIM home to heaven where there will be no more tears no suffering no disease and no more sin.come quicky LORD JESUS.

.Cutie, Jesus had the power to lay down His life for the people. He also had the power to stop the Crucifixion but He choose to lay down His life so that we sinners could go to heaven. He was the way for us to reach the Father. It was recorded that over 500 people saw Him after resurrection. He did die on the cross but He did come back to life. This all had to happen for man to find a way back to God.

Matthew 26:53 "do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father to supply me at this moment more than twelve legions of angels?"

This is what Jesus said when Peter tried to stop him being arrested by the romans.

Jesus at anytime could of saved himself from torture and death but that was not why he came to earth. Jesus knew he had to die for the benefit of mankind to pay for the sins of repentant sinners.
We owe Jesus Christ so much.

Jesus volunteered to die to pay for mankinds sins. It was an equalizing the pay for our first parents Adam and Eve sin. Adam and Eve were born perfect and had no natural inclination to sin but they disobeyed God intentionally and lost their everlasting life.
The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)

Jesus was the balance on the justice scale. He proved loyal to God and died wrongfully as a criminal. Without Jesus all mankind was doomed to everlasting death we would have no hope. Thus, Jesus’ death had sacrificial value. Upon ascending to heaven as a spirit person, he presented the value of his sacrifice to God. (Hebrews 9:24) By doing so, Jesus purchased sinful mankind and became their new Father, a replacement for Adam. (1 Corinthians 15:45) With good reason, Jesus is called the “Eternal Father.” (Isaiah 9:6) Think of what this means! Adam, a sinful father, spread death to all his descendants. Jesus, a perfect Father, uses the value of his sacrifice to bestow eternal life upon obedient humans.

Jesus purchased the lives of obedient followers of God and the Truth.

Your beliefs speak lies about Christ. He was healed after his curcifixion. He was resurrected by God and recieved back into heaven. If he didn't die on the cross, then there is no salvation for mankind, and we will all pay for our sins in Hell.

What difference would it make to Jesus whether or not he had a healthy earthly body? Jesus was healing suffering / Jesus did not suffer in a way that required healing.

It seems to me that in the story of Lazarus, some of the people who were mourning his death had questions similar to yours. Why would Jesus let one of His friends die when He had the power to heal him. The messengers who came to Jesus on behalf of Mary and Martha, the sisters of Lazarus, said, "Lord, behold, he who You love is sick." But Jesus said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the son of God may be glorified through it."
And Lazarus did die, but Jesus knew God's plan was to bring him back to life.
In regards to Jesus, Isaiah 53:10-11 says, "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul and offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities."
So, according to this scripture, just like what happened to Lazarus was part of God's plan, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus was His plan as well.
Man needed a sinless sacrifice in order to be forgiven of His sin. Only Jesus qualified. In fact, it was His commission from God that He should die for our sins.

you know, the thief on His side told him the same thing, why dont you save yourself if your are the messiah.(Luke 23-24).howeve, he had to die in our place, so that he could suffer ur afflictions in our place. the act of expressing his love was completed by the death.
but he did show his divinity by rising again on the third day.
as to the belief of the muslims, they claimed this in writings made after 1400 years of belief and expression of power of the resuurection by Christians.
if you are interested in Christ, read about Him from the bible, not from Islamic sources.
be blessed.

Good question.

I personally believed that He needed to pass on from the limitations of the physical to claim His throne in the fullness of His true being, which is God.

God has no limitations, so it would be useless to continue on in a vessel that already served its purpose.

Just my two cents...sound reasonable?
