People fear the annihilation of the "self" (ego) because of their inclination to pursue pleasures and desires.. The ego does not want to give up the throne.
The mind and ego is all about pleasures and desires and remaining in control of the soul.

FEAR is a KILLER of your soul, heart, mind, etc. FEAR will simply kill you. If I believe in Christ and you don't - THEN U should fear and be scared for your furture, CAUSE U going to HELL.
