I just moved to a new city alone and id like to meet a girl. Im not into the party girl heavy drinker, club hopping girl. Im more into the shy artistic type, but I'm not sure where to meet her? and when I say artistic I dont mean "painter", I just mean someone who is smart, original, and has a good taste in movies, music, etc. Note that I Live in LAS VEGAS and I dont have a car, I live on the College Campus. note that im kinda shy myself, but not a wierdo i assure you.

Not really a relgious girl. you are right, but not what im looking for.
And how you would meet someone in a library seems wierd as its not a real social place. How would you do that? or maybe thats a whole other question.

Cooking classes, library, museums, coffee shops, campus bookstore, campus intramural sports (like co-ed softball, flag football, soccer). Most colleges have clubs other than frats and sororities. Join one and you'll meet new people and new girls. Or get involved with the campus theater. Work backstage for a play or audtion for a part. Volunteer spare time at after school programs. Girls love a guy that can work with kids. Or volunteer time at the homeless shelter or another charity.
To meet someone in the library....That's the easiest ..... Let's say you can't find a book you need...You find a girl that grabs your eye go up to her and ask her if she knows where it could be found. Or ask her if you can borrow a pen to write down the book number you need. When you hand back the pen ask her name and say "Thank You Jane". Usually something unexpected willl start a conversation.

I spend my fair share in museums, bookstores, and libaries and I rarely get hit on (only occassionally by the clerks at the book stores.) I'd say your best bet is joining a club on campus (Sociology, criminal justice, biology...whatever you're interested in.) You could also try signing up for classes at a local art center. Just because a girl paints or sculpts doesn't mean she's an artist by any means. She may just be taking a class to broaden her horizons or have fun. And most of the classes I've taken are full of girls so it might be a pretty good option for guys.

Realistically, there are not alot of nice people wandering in las vegas looking for friends. Your best bet would be a museum, park, library, move theater, coffee shop.
You can also look online through myspace or a zillion other sites to find women in your area that are putting themselves out there hoping to meet someone special. With you being shy that might be the best option for you.

I prefer quiet shy girls. But does a "willowy" build mean youre flat chested? LOL.. You must be flat chested. A girl with boobs would have just said she wasnt flat, rather than quoting from the dictionary. So thats why nobody seems to notice you.
