There's a little secret that the contact lens manufacturers don't tell you. It's really strange but true. The contacts are all made on the same assembly line and are all the same. If you clean the cheapos regularly you'll get a lifetime out of them.
You're not going to find anything out there about this - it's a fact.
A few years ago there was a big court case against Bausch & Lomb for trading the same products with different packaging. They won.

My husband had contacts for years and his lenses lasted quite
a while, 3-6 months. He actually went in for lasik and loves the
result, no more hassling with contacts. The prices have gone
down and the procedures have gotten even better. You should
check it out and see if it would work for you, in the long run, its
worth the money, consider how much you spend on the lenses,
cleansers, disinfectants etc, plus the hassle with spending
$1500 or so to be done with it.

I used to wear my contacts that were supposed to be worn weekly, but taken out and night and worn during the day, constantly. I wore them day and night, with some good eyedrops incase they got dry, and I never had a problem.. I usually wound up cleaning them only once a week and never had any irritation. Wore one pair for a good month or so..

I have had them for up to 2 weeks or there about, cleanded daily and stored as you said for at least 8 hrs, it should not be a prob as long as you maintain it. and dont use them when they have too much protien build up on them.
