According to islamic teaching,all spirits of the dead persons including the hung prisoners are in the waiting room that is called alam barzah.,before they have a final decision by Allah/God's court. after resurrection day.In the waiting room they will have a prepunishments for whom who have many bad doings and prere- wards who have many good doings.That punishment is called cemetry torture or ill treatment of grave.Their spirits can not haunt
their live families.If someone said that he/she can recognized their spirits it is only a hallucination and is a manifestation of satan's temptation.

It's hanged, not hung. Hanged is used in reference to a lynching; hung is used for all other meanings.
What makes you think anyone on this planet really knows the answer to that question?

the only spirits in the air are demons, thrown out of heaven. they can impersonate dead people ,so that it looks like dead people are haunting us. dead people go to either paradise or hell.have you made your choice, that is what you should vbe more concerned about.
