damn this is truly a modern day plague, I know so many girls like you its a sign of the times , I really wonder what the next generations will act like.anyhow here is my answer::this life is too short to be miserable, it is so very finite and precious, but in the end nothing matters at all.In 200 yrs you and everything you say and do will be completely forgotten, eventually noone will ever remember you its a totally a waste of time just a futile effort... if you can stare this fact in the face and be ok with it, that is true courage, to understand our true insignificance in the universe is overwhelming. It doesent matter how pretty you are how much money you make,or if you ever become famous. The best things in life aren't things, its being comfortable with yourself when you don't care about what other people think about you, it is only possible then that you can be content with who you are.there is no way to happiness, happiness is the way

My girlfriend has the same problem. We have been together since we were 15 now 23. This has caused several setbacks in our relationship. In her case it is her Mother's fault through years of metal abuse. I can't say what you problem is but for some reason you seem to not be able to handle small problem therefore creating bigger problems. You sound like you need a friend to just talk with. That is usually the best remedy. What ever you decide to do take action fast because it will only get worse. Good luck and God bless.

If you need someone to talk to more, send to wvanbokk@tulane.edu
Welcome to my world.
I find that hard physical work helps a lot. Sitting in dorm room and interneting (not officially a word, but it is now!!!) does not. I demolish houses damaged by Katrina and do taekwondo pretty seriously. Helps for reasons neither I nor modern medicine fully understand, but the effect is well-documented.
Also, force yourself to socialize even when you don't really want to. Talking to other people helps a lot, even more than hard work.
As for family problems, once again welcome to my world. Parents are divorced. Mom is nice but very annoying. Dad is know-it-all who drives me crazy sometimes. I suppose I still love them, but I did move very far away from both of them for college.
As for what you have, sounds like depression feeding off of natural antisocial tendencies, although the crankyness could just be sleep deprivation or stress.

Sounds like your pushing people away for some reason. I think a counselor would defiantly be helpful. A counselor can't solve all your problems but can help guide you through the process of exploring issues you may have not dealt with. We all have issues. Nothing is wrong with you. Just sounds like this is a bad point in your life. You will get through this!

You need to have a depression screening and be treated by a counselor. You may need medications too. Dont keep living in unhappiness, get help now! You will be glad you did
you might also try getting out in the sunlight more and eating chocolate

sounds like garden variety depression( clinical) . it is very trendy today so do not feel guilty or strange. you are in good company and there are many cures and a lot of help. you must start by seeing a psychologist, I suggest cognitive tehrapy but usually they send you to a psychiatrst and you get drugs. But they do help a lot. there is a lot to be depressed about but hang in there and wait and see life may have some wonderful surprises for you.

I used to be that way, I went to talk to a doctor and belive me it helped a lot, they told me to sit down for a few minutes each day and write down my feelings for that day, also I wrote down what makes me so unhappy. I was on meds for a short time with no side effects, now I still feel unhappy at times but no nearly half as much. Good luck
