Just turned 21, dont like beer, what to get / try?

I just turned 21 and I live in Vegas. I cannot stand the taste of beer and havent liked it for awhile now. Smirnoff Ice isnt that bad, and I
ve had a vodka and cranberry and it was good. What can I get while im out drinking with friends that not only tastes good (not beer) but wont make me look like fool or something that people think is "weak". Not looking for shots or Jager(disgusting)

I think if I order a "wine cooler" I wont get the best reception at the bar. lol. but thanks. Im speaking alcholic also in terms bars and places like that.

Well you have already stated that you like the Smir. Ice, so i would have to suggest that you try a Vodka and Tonic, with a twist of lime, or without to not seem so wimpy, also try Jack And Coke, its ok, a bit harsh, but not too bad. Have fun trying new drinks, and i know you arent wanting shot's, but you may like GoldSchlagger. And one more mixed drink..... White Russian. Mud Slides are ok as well. ok, try those and let me know what you think.

Best bet is a strong drink...ya get the bang for ya buck...try a long island iced tea, which tastes essentially like iced tea and usually consists of your 5 clear or "white liquors"....gin tequila vodka rum and triple sec....and then a splash of sour and a splash of coke for color. its pretty tasty and you will only need a few probably. Experiment with different liquors find out what you like...old favorites are things like Captain and coke, or simply just anyrum and coke, a gin and tonic, maybe try a 7 and 7...which is seagrams 7 and 7 up or sierra mist. if you have a hard time deciding just ask a cute bartender to hook you up with something she thinks you'll like

GET smart and TRY to use some common sense. Have water, or coke. You can be your friends designated driver and save their lives. If your friends think you are a fool or "weak" for not drinking then find some new friends.

You can always go visit your old "cool" friends while they are working for McDonalds and sanitation (as long as they didn't call in sick from a hangover), or when they call you to come bail them out of jail.

I would suggest White Russians. The recipe most people use is one part vodka, one part Kahlua or other coffee liquor, and one part cream or milk but some people like milk or vodka depending on tastes. Another drink I like has no name that I know of is one part vodka to two parts squirt (soft drink) with some lemon cut on top of it and a bit of sugar mixed in. I prefer straight spirits anyway but those are good.

1. Drinking alcohol doesn't make one look cool or not" weak".
2. You don't have to hang out in a bar to have a good time with your pals.
3. If you insist...try coke. Looks alchoholic but tastes good and will never knock you out of your senses!

Lots of alcohol out there that tastes like dessert instead of alcohol. There is one that is supposed to taste like a dreamsicle, another lemonade. I used to like a sloe gin sunrise, sloe gin in orange juice. Or a strawberry margarita. Tom Colins and screwdrivers are two more that do not have much of an alcohol taste. Vodka and Everclear do not have a strong taste, and make good mixers.

Just because you turned 21 does not mean you must start drinking.
We never had an alcohol prohibition rule around my home, kids wanted a drink....They had a drink...It was and never became a big
deal to drink, kind of took the thrill out of it....They turned 21 and nothing happens....Drinking was nothing special...Not a forbidden
fruit or passage into adulthood...No problems with alcohol...

White Russians rock. Vodka-cranberries are really common with girls who don't know what else to drink. Get it with a lime. Yum. If you want to get drunk, get Long Island Iced Teas.

Tell them you want some Jack Daniels-bourbon- and a Pepsi for a chaser. Don't drive afterward! Also you can ask the bartender to make your drink kind of weak! No one will know.

Just because you turned 21, doesn't mean you have to drink. Especially if your just drinking to fit in or not "look like a fool". People who do not drink are not "weak". They have a sense of dignity and self respect.
