According to Jesus, God judges the heart, therefore Lust is just like committing Adultery only in your heart. And God knows it all.
It will destroy your relationship with God, friends, your wife, your gf, all sorts of things. Lust leads to poor decisions, addictions to porn and masterbation, sexual desires that aren't holy, potential sexual diseases if you act on it, and maybe even thoughts of homosexuality if you aren't careful. Sexual sins destroy you and the devil uses them because he knows this is true.
Just think to yourself, every time you do these things, doesn't your conscience tell you that something is wrong? That is your God given knowledge of right and wrong.
Conscience = con + science = with + knowledge
Everytime you sin, you are aware of it through your conscience.
Christ offers freedom from all things though, including sexual sins. This is mentioned in Romans, Galatians, and several other new Testament books.
Have hope and trust in Christ!

Loose control - out of balance and unable to focus on important things.
Say your studying for college, a distraction as powerful as lust will take time away from school.
I feel it leads to greed, and distrust of others.
I you lust after something to collect them all, (out of control) greed, can't share, say things like "careful how you touch that", stop being yourself then lust has led to a change in who you are. Which opens the door wider for the rest of the sins to enter, and your lost. Greed, lust, pride, sloth, wrath, envy, gluttony - the 7 deadly sins.
But a little is needed in daily life - a little. To lust the right amount can gain you better grades, or more playing time at sports. Of course lust is NOT love. Different question.
Moderation is the key to most urges.
Even good ones, like eating M&Ms. or parties.
Staying true to who you are is so important.

Desire in itself can motivate. Desire out of control will leave priorities unfinished and people mowed down [hurt or wounded] in the quest for fulfillment. Desire out of control is never satisfied. It needs an ever increasing stimulus to keep the high going. That is how a Ted Bundy, increment by increment, descended down the slippery slope. In the beginning he never intended to go that path, but lust led him step by step to do what he thought unthinkable, just a few years before.

Lust is a natural thing of the flesh, and nothing good can come from the flesh, becareful not to let it pry you from Christ, however if you beat off over a Hustler a few times a day, Jesus will not reject you for that, you arehis lamb and a sheppard doesn't turn away a lamb, a lamb turns away his sheppard, Christ is always there, no matter whether you think he doesn't care or isn't there he is, for he hath Christ within his heart AMEN.

It can make a person miserable and unhappy! If you lust after a thing and realise you can't get it, you realise you've just smacked into a brick wall! Sometimes it can even be embarrassing!

I agree with Lilly, depends how you use it. If it's used in a relationship where both people have mutual feelings, it can lead to amazing feelings.
Other people pointed negative stuff :)
