Once you are 'on' it disturbs if you change hand. Infact I like it with my natural hand (right in my case) only. It is a habit formed at the time you start doing it. So the firmness, grip comes better with the natural hand.
Also 'the tool' is slightly curved. so changing hands makes feel awkward.
The natural hand gives most powerful movements and the fastest as well.
I tried with left hand when I had injury on my right hand. Twice I tried, I could finish it but did not enjoy it much.

I sit on my hand first to make it fall asleep, then I procede at the same time I'm sitting on my other hand. As soon as I start to get feeling back in the active hand, I switch.
