The French form is Sonia. There is even a book called "Toute Sonia" by Pierre Daninos.

You can change just a few letters, to "Sonia". There are a number of French women named Sonia, such as Sonia Rykiel the fashion designer, Sonia Delaunay the (deceased) abstract painter, Sonia Rolland and Sonia Dresdel, both actresses... you needn't change the pronunciation of your name; just the spelling.

Bonjour, je pense que ca s'écrirait sonia mais ca se prononce pareil... well i think u have to rite it Sonia but anyway it same pronounciation. But even in France a lot of people have name ending by "ia" it is sound typically foreign name english or german... "Sophie" it is true would sound more french.

If you mean like _translate_ it, "Soniya" is the Scandinavian form -- the French would be "Sophie".
