Yes Redken Clarifying Cream shampoo works well but for something more intensive try Nexxus Aloe Rid shampoo and clarifying treatment. They get just about anything out of your hair chemical or medication-wise. You can use them like once a week after the first time to keep your hair iron free. You can get any of these products at most salons.

Try Malibu 2000 Crystal Gel Treatment. You'll have to go to a salon to either get the treatment, or buy a packet if they sell it and do it yourself at home. You mix with water, apply to your hair, put a plastic cap on, and apply heat. Usually takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes, depending on how bad the buildup is. I used to have trouble with iron in my hair too at the last place we lived, and this treatment works great.

Go to a professional and have them use a product made just for chemical deposits.
