Gosh $200 hundred dollars would sure be handy.
But being a little to honest for my own good, I would hand it in to the police, telling them where I found the money, and then give them my name and address.
After all if it is not claimed after a certain time, the police will send you a check, for the exact amount you handed in, along with a letter of thanks.
A few years ago;
My daughter and I went into the police station, (to make an enquiry) and the brat picked up a $20 note, two people were sitting waiting for some one, and two CBI's walked out the office door just after my daughter had picked it up, (they smiled at her, then proceeded to pat themselves down, laughing and saying that it was theirs, one of them gave my daughter a wink). And the police officer over the counter looked at my daughter with interest.
She handed over the money, then give her name and address. Two weeks later she got a cheque for $20 and a letter of thanks. I had one stoked daughter.
We also handed in a tradesman's tool box, a huge one, and full of tools. Worth close to a $1000 including tools. We got a phone call, a few months later, asking us to come down a pick it up, as no one had claimed it.
So honesty is best, even if dirt poor broke at the time.

Turn it over to the police and wait the 30 days. Chances are if someone loses $200, they don't know where. And when you turn it into the police they take a report of where and when it was found. If the person who lost it really needed it, they would backtrack to find it. And the people who really need it are the people that have kids that need diapers and milk and such. If no one claimed it, then I would donate some and probably buy groceries for my own children

I would give at least $20 to the Red Cross, another $20 to the Salvation Army, I would bless some homeless person another $20 and I would keep the rest and thank God for the blessing.
That is, assuming I was not flat broke.
If I was flat broke, I would sow $20.00 only and thank God for the blessing. I would not pretend to be so self-righteous. Not that I am saying that if a person does anything different I have any authority to judge or would I do so.

I would most probably leave it there. At least I won't get into trouble. If I have a good mood on that day, I would be picking it up and turning it over to the nearest police station.

Take it to the nearest police department.
Once when I lived in Haifa, Israel, I dropped my wallet with money in it. The next day the police department called me to come pick it up. All the money, everything still there, intact.

After blessing someone else with 10%, I'd spend it on whatever my greatest need was at the time. It's ever going t make it's way back to it's rightful owner anyway.

Pick it up, tithe 10%, and use it wherever I could use 200 dollars.

if nobody's clearly around what are you supposed to do, go down the road and ask random strangers if this is their $200 they lost? i might actually pick it up, hang around that area for a little while to see if it looks like anyone comes around looking like they lost something important and they're backtracking. i would feel bad to just take it and head on my way..... to tell the truth, i hope i never find myself faced w/ that dillema.

I'd pick it up and since there is no way I could know whose money it is, I'd keep it or give it to a charity.
