I was pulled over but the police officer wrote the wrong address.?

I will try to explain it in detail. I moved to a new address. So the new address was posted on the back of my license. And my old address is on the front my license. The police officer got confused and he wrote only the numbers of my current address and the street name of my old address. Is it still considered a mistake since I don’t live on the address that he wrote

So what are you gonna do? Write the Officer a fix-it ticket? It doesn't matter because you signed the citation, which IS a summons, & YOU agreed to appear. Read the fine print at the bottom & on the back of the citation. Your actual address will have no effect on your infraction.

It will catch up to you in the future because your license number is on the violation. They don't care where you live they want you to show up in court and pay your fine. If you don't you will be issues a failure to appear which is a felony and believe me when you are pulled over for a small violation and they run you license they will take you in and tow your car. They are not going to listen to your sob story on the side of the mass pike!

The address on the ticket doesn't matter. He has your drivers license number and your name. You still have to pay the ticket.

No problem . You may easily approach the Police dept & get the necessary corrections done. The rules vary from place to place , but it is always advisable to let the administration know about your correct details. You may explain the things to them. Who knows this may even smoothen out the pulling. Everyone appreciates honesty & obedience after all !
All the best .

Go to the DMV Department of Motor Vehicles and put in an address correction.

Nope. My son's license had his old handle on it (he tried residing including his Dad for 5 months and also replaced his license to that handle) He has gotten 2 tickets when you consider that he moved back with me and they definately are valid tickets. Your license form is what's going to nail you, they (police and court) gained't care about an mistakes on your handle. preserve it, till now they placed a bench warrant out for you.

In Ontario, Canada the only way you can get the ticket thrown out is if there are omissions (empty spaces) on the ticket. Any errors can be ammended in court if the ticket goes to trial.

The bad news is that you STILL have to pay the ticket. Police make mistakes too.
