The internet is a great way to meet people. I met my current girlfriend on myspace. We met at a party shortly after. Best thing that ever happened to me.

If you're just pen pals and you are calling them your boyfriend/girlfriend, though, that is dumb.

Just remember to be safe. Don't give out personal information to anybody you don't know well. Always meet people you don't know well in a public setting or have them meet you with a group of your friends. No matter how long you talk to someone online, you don't really know them until you've established a "real-life" relationship. Never meet someone for the first, second, or third time by yourself!

And if you're under 18, you shouldn't even be meeting up with your boyfriend/girlfriend when you're completely alone. You wouldn't believe how many girls have told me that they lost their virginity when their boyfriend at the time raped them.

No I dont think theres anything wrong with dating people from the net. People spend hours and a lot of money at bars or other socail outings. I say to each their own.

i don't think ther is anything wrong with it, but i think that in most circumstances, it is a waste of time cause u will rarely ever get to see eachother in person (most of the time ur a good piece away), i would not date someone off the net for that reason, but wat do i know? many ppl have fallen in luv and lived happily ever after doin that

I have to admit I have met some really crazy people on line, but I also met my fiance on line and I think I came out very lucky. We have our usual relationship ups and downs, but he is a wonderful man and I wouldn't trade the time we've shared together for anything.

nothings wrong wit it... it obviously has its set backs.. but its real people that are on the other ends of these machines... don't forget... you just got to be careful what type of 'real' person you get... for example... you could find someone:
real nice
real loving
really cute
really crazy
really pyschotic
real ugly
really stupid
and the list goes on and on
you just never know...
