Getting a tattoo will lower your immune system's ability to protect your child, as your body will be focusing on helping the tattooed area to heal and ward off any sort of potential infection.
Wait until AFTER you have your child. You have the rest of your life to get inked up... you only get 9 months to have that child within your body. Enjoy that bonding time with your child, without putting either of you at risk (even though it's a small risk... it's still a risk).

You can get a tattoo while pregnant, but i wouldn't recommend getting one till after the baby. The reasons you never know how your body will react to the ink while being pregnant and cause an infection or a shock. Its not worth risking your baby getting an infection. Also your body will stretch because the baby growing and the tattoo may not look like you want it to after the baby. But its your choice. I hope this helps at least some with your options.

It is true, you have to sign a waiver stating you re not pregnant. If you do plan on getting a tattoo after you have your baby, watch you tattoo artist take the needles out of the platic wrapping. Just to be safe, you should also go to artist that has been recomended. It's nice to see their work on someone else before they start on you.

Most tattoo shops will not do tattoos on pregnant women for one reason only. Same for dentist and giving Novocaine. Anything that may cause the heart beat to increase could cause damage to the fetus. If you really want a tattoo right now, you take the risk of causing damage to that precious life growing inside of you. Plus you will be hard pressed to find a tattoo artist to do it.

Most tattoo shops won't let you get a tattoo while you're prego. They make you sign something saying you're not.
I wouldn't do it, even if the needle is clean. The tattoo might still get infected.

All tattoo parlors are legally liable to never reuse needles and clamps. Everything should be in sealed sterile packages prior to getting your tattoo. And yes you can get a tattoo while being pregnant.
