It depends on how much marijuana that you smoked. I mean there are people who have smoked all day everyday like you for 20 years. and were able to quit cold turkey and others would be able to go for short times without their weed.

To stop smoking marijuana or not, the negatives outweigh the positives. May start well in the beginning but in the end affected every thing I did. Even at risk of losing my family and that is when I was determined to stop smoking marijuana. But is not easy to stop smoking marijuana. But I found a good program that made it easy for me not just to stop smoking marijuana but to continue to do so.

After smokin pot for a few yrs I was able to stop easily...but I am still addicted to the nicotine I smoked with it. Marijuana is much less addictive than nicotine...and yes if someone really wants to quit it is possible.

Yes, it is possible.
No, it was not easy. Chances are someone smoking weed for that long has an addictive personality, which can create an addiction of anything. I needed a 12 step program, and had to stop drinking also. Then it became easy.

Hope this helps someone.

After 20 years even if it's not addictive it's a SERIOUS habit by then and bad habits are HARD AS HELL to break. So it is possible yes but it would be hard for that person to stop. They would be used to living their life in a constant haze

No, it's easy to quit with a strong will power. I used to smoke on and off for about 10 years and had put a stopped to it for more than 10 years now.

The key to quit is 'Quit'

It would depend upon the person, but pot isn't physically addictive.

It is difficult, but if you have the will to do what I suggest, then you should be successful.
Try meditation, the best is anapanasathi. I really don't know enough about the other types of meditation, but this is by far the best.
