where on the envelope does it go?

For the envelope:
The address you're sending it from (return address) goes in the top left.
The address you're sending it to goes in the center of the envelope.

For the actual letter:
The address you're sending it to goes on the top left.

I prefer to put the sending address in the centre. And the return address at the back of the envelope.

bottom right for who your sending it to, your address goes on the top left.

In my experience, the addressie's name goes in the center of envelope, in large letters, preferably legible

top left is where you put it. like this:

Mr. John Doe
555 Mystery Lane
Saskatchewan, CA 55555

Dear Mr. Doe,

Type your letter here.

Sincerely,

Your Name

Well here in Australia we put it on the bottom right... not TOO bottom, just above the bottom.
