I guarantee NO ONE wants to live their life in fear.

I'm not asking this for myself. I was just curious because I've heard stories about it.

Only God knows but destroying God`s temple(your body) is wrong.Giving up and rejecting God`s love and mercy because of dispair is also wrong. But God will judge perfectly as he knows the hearts of all.

This has been a subject of debate amongst Christians for years. The general consensus is that one who truly follows Christ should have no reason to commit suicide as it demonstrates a lack of faith in God and His ability to care for the person...since they only trust the power of killing themselves rather than seeking God for the answer. Does it make it a damnable sin, however? According to the Bible, any and all sin is worthy of hell. But also according to the Bible, there is only one sin that is unforgivable and that's blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31-32; Mark 3:29; Luke 12:10). If that's the only unforgivable sin, that means suicide is forgivable...which means those who are Christians yet have committed suicide will likely see heaven. Acts 13:29 confirms this when it says "And by Him all that believe are justified from all things."

.... Jesus stated the worlds sin is unbelief in Him. The other subject mentioned in scripture is blaspheming the Holy Spirit is unforgivable.
So the main concern is being saved --- don't die without having Jesus as Savior.... I know there are people who suffer great emotional distresses/depressions and I know some of them commit suicide... our salvation isn't based upon our feeling saved it's made upon whether or not we made a sincere decision for Jesus .... God looks at the heart - man judges by the outward appearance.

No, there are no back doors to heaven. I can relate to those who are in the state you described...been there. But that is why we have the BIBLE-
Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth.
There is nothing new under the sun in the Bible, Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. The Bible provide instruction and encouragement for depression, worrying, death, life, bankruptcy, anger, sadness, etc.

I believe that God judges us case by case.

First thing, is salvation.

Second is God's will for our lives.

There is a verse that says no greater love than to lay down you life for a friend.

So what about soldiers that knowingly die saving someone else? Is that a type of suicide?

What if someone is mentally unbalanced?

Tough questions. I know that God is just. And I have to trust that, as I have had friends commit suicide.

In Heaven there is no fear, confusion, depression, unhappiness, etc. Heaven is the home of "eternal life". You never die and are given a new body once you enter....one that never knows physical or mental sickness.

God only knows. Maybe if the person is not in their right mind when they do it, ( such as a mental disorder) maybe it is viewed differently. Or if they shoot them self, or however they choose to die if they are able to repent before they actually die they will be saved. I dont know for sure these are just some thoughts I had.

This question has been long debated and there still is no clear cut answer. Here is my opinion. Since Murder is a sin, then suicide is self murder. Now if you ask for forgiveness for your sins God Will Grant you pardon. But if you murder yourself how can you ask forgiveness after you are dead? The only sins that are unpardonable are the ones you don't ask forgiveness for. Hope this help you to decide. God Bless.

I agree with Aryn235-- it amazes me that people are more concerned with answering the question than wondering if this is a cry for help. I'm not Christian myself so I can't help you tackle the difficulties of this one, but if you ARE contemplating suicide: Don't. You'll leave a lot more suffering behind than you than you'll be relieving yourself of, whether you believe it or not. And besides, the answer to the hopeless situation you described above is incredibly simple but true nonetheless:

Things have to get better, because they can't get any worse. :)
