Leg mass is better for women because... umm... we men have the big arms and it balances out sort of. Have you ever seen a woman with thin legs? It's weird. So be happy with your big legs grasshopper.

well if we walked, chased after our children, climb steps, run and/or just stand on our arms they would be strong also.
i have to say since i became handicap and started to use my manual wheelchair, my upper arms have became a lot stronger and my one leg thigh has also gotten stronger because i have to put all my weight on it when i transfer from my wheelchair to another seat, toilet, or vehicle because i am an above the knee amputee on my right leg.
i hope this gives you some idea why

Chasing children, and keeping up with life. Evolution made us very efficient for going a long time doing many things.

wow, evolution for one...over the years we have not been out there fariming and hunting, so our upper arms did not develop lilke our legs did...we all walk, but not all of us needed ot develop upper body mass form an evolutional aspect

I would look toward nature. Firstly child bearing. Also, most female mammels in the wild are soley resposible for feeding themselves and their kids so speed is important.
