Ok I had the same problem because I was using so many products to clean my face, I am now only cleaning my face with a dove body bar (the blue box) and a small amount of aveeno lotion (the green one) to moisturize. It has created a a lot less redness and a lot of acne is gone now! For makeup I switched to a vichy concealer dermablend it works wonders! It is more expensive than other concealers but is waaay better. Just apply it to the problem areas not the whole face. Then after i just use covergirl powder (the green one is sensitive skin) just to get rid of the shine. Using these products has majorly improved my acne since there is very limited chemicals involved in my face wash routine. Try it out trust me it works!

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

Well, try acne creams and washes. Try each one for two weeks and if there is no improvment, then try another one. Keep trying and trying diffrent medications until you find the right one. Its just a stage of life and everyone has acne at some point. So just for now, cut out those greasy foods and the meds will help a little. Good Luck!

It sux doesnt it? I too have tried almost everything. I even went on the contraceptive pill that is supposed to improve skin, but it didn't work. Lately i have been rubbing aloe vera on my face before i go to bed at night and have seen a definite improvement. It is a natural 'calming agent' and disinfectant. Dont buy it in a tube(that has stuff added to it) Instead go to a garden centre and buy the plant - dont worry they are unkillable! It makes sense to use something 'natural' rather than chemical. Give it a go. Hope it works for you.

oh sweetie...i was where you were, and am 39 and still have breakouts. first, drin at least 8 glasses of water a day. proactiv is not for everyone..it has frances which can make acne worse. you probably need a salycic or glycolic based product for cleansing. also, make sure you are using an antibacterial cleanser, and plenty of benzoil peroxide, also, birth control can help with the hormonal surges. i like Kiehls oil control cleanser, tea tree oil toner and paulas choice nezoil peroxide...good luck

This may sound a little off-beat, but it did work for me when I was in my early teens. A few times each day, "wash" your face with water that you've added some common table salt to. I can't offer any scientific reason to back up this technique, but in a week or so you should notice a vast improvement. Good luck.

I understand acne can also be caused by the candida albicans fungus - or it helps it worsen. Hormones and blood sugar can help the candida (yeast) fungus grow faster.

Check out www.hufa.org - the yeast link - for some info on this condition. And start eating no fruit - plain yogurt.

I have heard that working out, especially with cardio related exercises helps the skin's abiity to grow. Maybe that will help a little with your problem.
