I take valium also, but only once in a while. It usually makes me very sleepy.
Valium (diazepam) is habit forming. You can become physically and psychologically dependent on the medication. Do not take more than the prescribed amount of medication or take it for longer than is directed by your doctor. Withdrawal effects may occur if Valium (diazepam) is stopped suddenly after several weeks of continuous use. Your doctor may recommend a gradual reduction in dose.
If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking Valium (diazepam) and seek emergency medical attention or contact your doctor immediately:
· an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, face, or tongue; or hives);
· sores in the mouth or throat;
· yellowing of the skin or eyes;
· a rash;
· hallucinations or severe confusion; or
· changes in your vision.
• Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take Valium (diazepam) and talk to your doctor if you experience
· drowsiness, dizziness, or clumsiness;
· depression;
· nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation;
· difficulty urinating;
· vivid dreams;
· headache;
· dry mouth;
· decreased sex drive; or
· changes in behavior.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome

I think Valium is a great choice of medications. They have a lot of chemical copies for valium but a real drug is always better than the chemical copy. It is natural to the body and therefore doesn't put you on another toxic overload. It is also very good for a muscle spasam. I would never be afraid to use a good clean drug in opposition to to the chemical copies. Metabolism is much better. It's like using vicodin over codiene. Vicodin will never work as well as codiene because it is also just a chemical copy. I find soma to be a great muscle relaxer as well. It's probably chemicals as well but it does help.(once the dizzys go away)

I was on valium a few years back for anxiety/nervousness and they did help me out but i have never heard that it helps with pain. I know of many times that i was in pain and a valium didn't help me. There is nothing wrong in taking them if you take them as prescribed.

Valium is a good drug for relieving muscle spasms. If you take it as your doctor directed, you should have no problems.
If you take it more often, or in higher dosages than prescribed, you may overdose.
You should not drive while taking Valium.

i would take it as prescribed, but only when you need it, it does help relax the muscles, i have used it before, just be careful not to take it when you dont need it, it can become addicting. but it was prescribed for your pain, and it will help it alot. i hope the best for you

try it first, but what it will do is just relax your muscles and put you to sleep, it will not cure your pain. try to find what causes your pain, and yes, i will be wary taking valium for pain relief
