I'm thirteen and I already love to meditate and read books on the psychic world. Some people I know say it's alright, and even good for me. Others are totally against it. What do you think?

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

From a Christian point of view, I strongly, strongly, urge you not to delve into the psychic world. I used to do tarrot card readings and fortune telling, and i'm telling you, it's a baddd idea..

Things such as the psychic world spawn from Satan's power. Satan has already lost, he's on deathrow waiting for his time to hit the electric chair (banished into hell), and he's pretty ticked off and wants to make sure we're all gonna join him..Think about it, Satan wants to trick you into thinking that God doesn't exist, and that there are natural "powers" or spirits out there that you can tap to use...Satan is the father of all lies, it is a trick to deceive you.

Meditation (where you sit there and don't think and are not chanting anything) is good, in my opinion, because it helps you to clear your mind. I think that a lot of the things you think about are not really your own thoughts but others oppressing you or affecting you.

Just know that when you use black magic, wicca, any of that stuff that Jesus doesn't grant to you, you are using from the darkside. It's black and white, evil and good, and whoever tells you otherwise is lying. Jesus says that thru him you can do all things, trust in the Lord, and He will give you all things that you need.

E-mail me if you want to discuss this further.

some of these books are going to appeal to your pride and take you to dangerous places. (the ones that sound the least dangerous are the ones to watch out for, any real psychic will tell you there are things they would rather not have known so the one says its all natural and nicey nicey are the ones that have evil motives) On the other hand Jesus did things that showed He was a psychic or as we say had psychic abilities. Many prophets did as well.

You either are psychic, or you are not. It is a gift. The danger comes from pretending to be something that you are not.

Everyone has special gifts given to them, not all share the same abilities. Some are able to speak to spirits, while others divine the future, and others have super instincts that help them find things or the truth.

I say focus on what you have that makes you YOU.

As for against religion, that depends on what your religion is.

Keep in Mind that there is only good and evil and nothing in between. Meditation is alright but Gods word states that the act of fortune telling comes from evil. Unless you do it in a fun way, unfortunately, being a psychic it is not of good.

If you truly are psychic or clairvoyant, it's something that God gave you. It's not a curse, although it does seem like it is. It's part of who you are. I am so sick of people trying to dictate to others how to live their lives. Hey, guess what? I'm with a man 30 years older than me. Yeah, it's against your ideals, but I DON"T CARE. It's MY life and I will live it the way I feel is best for me. Go take that "Boo hooo hoooo she won't let me control her life" crap somewhere else.

Psychic powers are an interesting idea but a lot of them are based on lies, tricks and really bad understanding of statistics and probability. If you are going to research it then look for evidence. Ask yourself - "Is this real, verifiable, and repeatable or am I just grasping for patterns that aren't really there?"

Good luck,

A

Religions, psychics, whatever. All that stuff is fairy tales, no difference. Don't waste your time with superstitions. Just read some good science books and learn about the real world.

Which religion? In some it would probably be considered magic and would be, others embrace the concept. If it's what you want to do then go for it, only you can decide for yourself if it's right or wrong or even real.

I think you need to put down those books and pick up the bible. The occult is the realm of satan, and you don't want anything to do with it.
