5 inches should be the minimum. I think that would make everyone (men and women) happy. We all know that if a penis is smaller than 5 inches, it is sad for the man and whatever woman gets the displeasure of seeing it.

I think this question refers to sexually active males. To be honest there is nothing like minimum size. The receptors which receive pleasure during coitus are located on the anterior or outer one third wall of vagina of a woman. So long penis reaches to this outer one third part, it can satisfies a woman. Besides the penetration, foreplay etc are equally important for deriving pleasure. As far as fertility is concerned, size is further unimportant. Because even if semen is deposited at the opening of vagina, it is sucked to the uterus (where fertilisation takes place) by the movements of vaginal wall. It is all in the minds of people fed for generations. No doubt big organ is a visual delight but as far as its various functions are concerned, size is unimportant. I know people with two inches (erect condition) having great fun. Finally remember a saying " what should be the Length of legs - answer is enough to touch the ground".

the average size of a man's penis is somewhere around 6 inches give or take a inch or so

well, truth be told the minimum size would be pretty microscopic. Some guys have so little it isn't visible to a casual observer.
