I have been hanging out with this guy for a couple weeks and today he told me that he thinks I'm getting the wrong impression because he is not ready for a serious relationship. He told me that he really likes me and likes hanging out with me...but he still needs time to recover. Does he honestly feel this way and do you think he may still want a relationship over time? I just dunno what to do now. Please help!!

im sure he really does want a relationship with you, but hes just not ready right now. he might have just gotten out of one, or maybe hes thinking that he just doesnt have the time or energy to devote to a serious relationship right now, thanks to work, or school, or whatever else. i think hes being honest with you, and he still does want to have a relationship, but give him a little time. not too much, or you might miss your chance, but as long as you two are hanging out a bit, and he likes you, he'll come around. its always better to be friends first though, in a situation like this, because then you should be able to tell, at least hopefully, when he actually comes around. try asking him how hes doing, how hes feeling, things like that, every once in a while, and that may help you both to figure out if he's ready or not. good luck.

i am not a guy but i don't think it takes a guy to give his point of view to tell you what is going on. he is being literal here.

he hangs out with you because he likes it that way. why must a good guy friend become a boyfriend just because he is a good friend as well as a boy?

if he is a girl, i bet you will not be going through this at all. i see that he totally appreciates the friendship you two share- and he is honest about his intentions. isnt it better than having a guy who leads you on and then tell you later that hes actually playing around?

hang out with him as per normal. love will come when it comes. :) and if you are serious about him, be his good friend. someone he can count on.

cheers~~

either you didn't give him a piece of a.s.s or what you gave him wasn't worth his while so just move on from this guy you 2 are not a match.
