The christian god didn't exist until it was invented by an Egyptian pharoah called Akhenaten who rejected the many gods that the egyptians had previously worshipped.
After his death these gods were reinstated but the jews in Egypt retained the memory of this god and when they escaped from slavery they took the religion with them.

There is always a central truth to all valid religious systems, be they Judiasm or those followed by, say, the Native Americans.

They Mayan system was so strong that they seem to have invented graphic marks on the Earth that a God from Space can see and Pryamids much like those of Egypt, which are based on stellar factors.

Religion begats science with explains the unverse which religion pays homage to in a spirtualistic sense.

Without religion to fuel science there would be no great advancements, except at the demands of Capitalists who wish to expliot them for profitablity.

Religion makes science want to do it just for the fun of it.

Without religion, science would be a slave to the Capitalistic profit driven machine.

The people who invented the computer were never rich nor super famous. Science helps makes PAscal famous for writing hypthetical programs for an engine, a computer protytpe, that was never built.

Those who invented the Eniac were never rich or famous.

IBM got rich and famous, but they didn't.

Bill Gates didn't invent the computer, nor the internet (everyone here does knows Al Gore invented that right!) nor software, nor programming languages.

But his Capitalistic Driven machine became what some call a Monopoly.

Is that what eveyrone wants Science to become on a full time basis? A tool for Bill Gates to use to make more billions.

Where's the fun in that!

Now, give a scientist a religious "fairy tale" and he'll go off with no buget, no grant and no company behind him or her, just out for the fun of it.

Religion plays a very important part in the whole process.

All the Gods do!

We're an ecosystem. Why do people persist in trying to grind that machine to a hault!

Don't you know what Inertial shock is!

Without Astrology and Catholicism there would be no posultation of a Sol based solar system, because who gives a hoot.

Does that concept make anyone a buck!

If it doesn't make a buck, who gives a hoot.

Invent me something that makes a buck.

Now, challenge me with a religious view that seems irrational and I'll spend centuries writing about it and creating new math systems to define and and finally explain it all.

But it don't buy you a cup of coffee at McDonalds!

concidering that The One True God, The Creator of this universe and all that is in it, walked and talked with The First Man and Woman... And, concidering that the other so-called Gods were not made up by men untill quite some time later. After manknd had lost physical immortality and gotten kicked out of eden and spread accross a good part of the earth, with many rejecting The Creator.... And given that The One True God existed long before this universe....I figure that since God made all this universe and made all the rules govening it... well, since God makes the rules I figgure it is better to go with the one in charge. Those who reject God will, eventualy suffer the concequences of their rejetion by being rejected, forever, by God... and that ain't going to be a good thing... I think I will sticik with The Shure Thing... you of course are free to make up any god you wish.... your choice... but what the hell, if that is what you want that is what you'll get...good luck

There is only one God & He has always been around since the beginning of the world. He's neither the Christian nor Muslim nor Jewish nor Buddhist nor Hindu God. He is the Almighty God without barrier to names nor
religion imposed by man & worshipped differently as the leaders of the religion dictates. Christ came as the Son of God to pay for our sins so that we may obtain our salvation through Him, sort of like "fast forward"but of course it comes with the terms & conditions!

Ancient civilizations worshiped female goddesses and considered life to come from females. Eventually, men decided that the whole god idea was too good to leave to the women, so they gave god a sex change. It makes it a lot easier for men to oppress women, if they can convince women that god is a male, and that he wants men to be the bosses over women. What is amazing is that any women fall for that nonsense. If there really is a god, she is going to administer some very strict discipline to all those tell-a-lie-evangelists.

The Lord God, Creator of the Universe, declared "I am the Lord, and there is no other god before me".

Since He created the Universe out of nothing, how could there have been any pagan gods before Him?

Some of the pagan gods might have inscriptions, etc. which might predate the believed 6000 years of Genesis ... but those dates also may be in error. Maybe assigned by people who want to believe that the Creator is just one of many and therefore they think it will excuse them from giving an account to Him WHO made all things.

There is no "right" god -- only the choice of people, of the god (or none), that best suits them. There are still many gods around, & I wouldn't be surprised if some day--more will be added. As long as people have a "need" for a god, there will be MANY.

There was never a time where God wasn't. God is the Alpha and Omega, beginning and end. Before Abraham was, He is (I Am) Think of a time before any history, there was God. Think of a time before the foundation of the earth, there was God. Think a trillion decades from now, God is still.

You have to look back and learn how people actually lived back then. There was no notion of a state trooper to protect you back then. The church was used as a society device. The church is no more than a pre-midevil police force. It is no longer needed in structured society.

They didn't 'not know any better', they just didn't have a word for "Christ", "Christian, "Catholic", or "blasphemy" because there WAS no Catholicism, Christianity or any of their affiliates until one person decided they were sick of the religions available to them at the time and decided to make up their own. Chew on this for a while and do the rest of us a favor and THINK about what you're going to post before you post it, then MAYBE you won't sound like a close-minded, hate-mongering RECORD, for the love of pancakes!
