some countries treat their scientists like rock stars and put pics of famous physicists on their money. why doesnt the US have such high regard for science anymore??

Science (and fact in general) does not suit the president's whims, and so even good scientists's ideas are censored. Not much to look forward to.

Only the stupidest-of-the-dimwits would grant them the power to both be together.
Lesson learned: Education doesn't matter (Heck even our president didn't take a Public Speaking class!) Money does. Oh and another lesson learned: Never stand between a Texan and their money.
GWB can fraud America and nothing happens to him-so let's all try to cheat people! You can plead insane or following-the-presidents'-example. I wonder which one would save a person from a sentence..

because everyone wants to be entertained here. The liberals have no use for true education- they want famous actors and actresses to tell them what to think and believe. People have a much higher regard for those that can sing and dance and put on a good skin show, they put these people on a pedestal while teachers and educators get dumped on and those that strive for knowledge and understanding get shoved out of the way by someone with an agenda and the right amount of cash.

You really wanna know what happened? I'll tell you - Our kids were getting lazy and sloppy with their schoolwork and started failing. They got held back. They p!ssed and moaned and complained about it hurting their self-esteem and about getting teased by their classmates at school because they got held back and actually paying attention in class and doing their school and homework wasn't an option and all that other bullsh!t, so the standards were LOWERED so that their worthless EGOS could be better CATERED TO. They don't WANT to be smart because smart isn't cool anymore.

Because the government has distanced itself from science hoping that all of it will fall on the shoulders of the private sector. Also lots of scientists are being kept like a pet and are unable to announce findings. Defence Dept. discoveries are totally hush hush so these are never presented to the public.

The answer is simple. This country was founded with Christianity as its foundation. God Blessed this country because of this.
Now its a different situation. This nation for the most part have turned their backs on God and have chosen money and things to be their god.
God's not happy with this choice and has removed His Blessings .><>
