Yes I do think there will be real war at some point, which really saddens me.
In the Bible, there have been several times when people started to believe that there was no God (ie, Genesis in the Flood is the first one that comes to mind).
But even so, I have to seriously question the new "evidence" that comes out refuting scriptures. We all know that with "evidence" that is published on the internet, there is no way of proving it is truly valid as basically anything can be modified with a few talented keystrokes.
I also see a lot of people who want to find ways of disproving scriptures and people who are Christians, equally adamant, who will not budge an inch.

so far what science has done is validate the Bible at almost every turn and those times in the past when some pride displaying person has said "gotcha" 10 years later they find out the gotcha was wrong. If you are listening to those college profs who spout this kind of foolishness then remember this if in your life you truly seek the truth in the end you will find it in the Bible. I have 238 undergrad credits and post grad degrees and have taught college courses as well as credit for the pro's in my field and I'm tellin you now seek the truth and do it with an open mind and these that are teaching you this, understand they are immature and rebellios.
Want to find out about these we discuss find the Church where the profs go, make friends and then ask about these you listen to now and get an ear full.
I stand corrected, apparently the word sin has two listings thus very likely two greek words. Wonder why that is. Never the less since at a young age sin is not imputed it is doubtful that Jesus never made any mistakes during that time.
still as it says in Heb. 4 15 he was tempted and did not fall for ir.
why this is not listed under the second listing is worth a study. My guess is there are two words with two definitions, and their exact meaning is worth being looked into
sorry about the error

This is a battle that will likely be fought in the trenches of newspapers and in the halls of legislatures and academia. It may deteriorate to violence in rare circumstances, but it is a fight of ideas. The only way science can be supressed is if it is seen as a threat to the power of the state. Threatening the power of the church is a national pastime. Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell have made it ever easier and more fulfilling.

War fought on the basis of challenging one religions beliefs to another's, mainstream or not, is one fought on ignorance. I'm not a Christian, but as new thought become predominate, it will not stir nor shake my beliefs. If you are strong in your faith, you share care little whatever believe, even if it's the majority. There will always be conflicts amongst religious ideology. For the faithful, it has never stopped them in their pursuit in an ever lasting relationship with the Divine.

Things will progress just as the bible says they will. Those who believe God's word will be mocked more and more, until at one point....the church is taken out of the world, much to the relief of everyone who doesn't believe....before the great tribulation period begins. During the seven year tribulation period, the antichrist will come to power. God's wrath is poured upon the earth when he demands to be worshipped as God....and then the return of Jesus. That's sort of the shorthand version. Christians who know the bible worry about nothing; we know how it all turns out.

If Christians could actually manage to organise themselves into one single force and decided to throw away many of the key teaching of Jesus than yes it probably would happen, and sadly enough by sheer numbers alone they would crush us. I really can't see that happening, besides you didn't take other religions into consideration, and I really don't see mutliple religions working together affectively.
Since Jesus always preached against violence and there are way to many conflicting denominations of Christianity the chances of that happening are slim. The thought actually seems kind of rediculous to me.

where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty !
the earth and the fullness thereof, are the Lord's
Science saved me when I was sick, and saved my dad when he was in a car accident. Scientists are in accordance with Christian values, helping those who need it when they need it, etc etc
There is no "undermining" of true Christians...overcome everything !
Jesus taught us to loosen up on traditions too and seek truth, which is the nature and process and function of science
No warring !
Peace !

No. Science is science and Religion is religion. There is no rational reason why the two can't co-exist. I think religious people will have to stop using their sacred books as a science text book, however. At the same time scientist will have to stop trying to extrapolate the laws of physics into the realm of the "god question".
If there is a war - then shame on all of us!!!

The information age is getting rid of religions - However slowly.
They will be completly gone as human genome age approaches because we will be able to basically edit our genes and create people from labratories.
People wont belive in god because anyone with a PH.D in genetics will be a god.

Yes and that would be a sad day and a real black eye for Christians because if we are Christlike we are suppose to be able to allow all to live and believe as they will and when Jesus comes back to claim his own let him do the straightening out.
