I am a Christian and I do believe in evolution. Even if that contradicts what I believe religiously.
Faith makes you believe what you can't see, there is no proof. Science is all about proof and evidence. It's real you can touch it.

It is dynamically opposed to the Creation account of Genesis. Many Christians struggle to reconcile the two because of all the evolutionary teachings in the school system. Many chose to try and blend the two saying God may have used evolution as a tool. Personally I reject that. Any God capable of speaking the universe into existance doesn't need an assist from Darwin or anyone else. I don't hate evolution, I just recognize it as what it is, a stumbling block for many to embrace God's word. The recent DNA news that we all came from the same two ancestors sounds to me like a strong piece of evidence that we all came from Adam and Eve.

I'm a Christian and evolution makes perfect sense to me.
I think most of the problem comes from misinformation. I don't know where some people have heard about evolution, or what they've heard about it, but I can tell from some of the supposed counterarguments that they don't understand the basics.

The ToE (and a great deal of real-world science, actually) flies directly in the face of religious dogma...particularly the origin of modern man. Evidently the Christians far prefer to be the center of the universe...the sole reason for the universe's creation rather than be members of an exceptionally adaptable and intelligent species that has mastered the ability to control its environment and even been able to walk on other worlds.
Creationists in particular have a severe phobia about science--not just biology but geology, physics, atomic theory, astronomy, and zoology to name a few. The more that is discovered, the smaller and smaller the box their God has to hide in. Their "God of the Gaps" gets smaller every time there is a new breakthrough, and they feel threatened by it.

It's not a sin, it's just silly. The "proof" that you mention is just false information you have been fed since childhood. Why would I willingly believe in something I know is wrong just because some people think it's right?
If you want a resource, go to www.drdino.com and download the seminars to hear some compelling arguments against evolution.

don't stress. what people seem to forget is that all our knowledge is based on an idea only. no-one knows what happened at the beginning or even if there was a beginning. scientists are now heavily invested in the string theory which promotes parallel dimensions. there's plenty of information to prove it but only to our limits. one idea is that the 'big bang' was the result of two parallel dimensions accidently touching each other creating a huge transference of energy.

Anyways, I don't hate Evolution. I think that it is possible that evolution is how God made animals and plants, but I really doubt it. I've seen too much, especially in the plant and insect world, that says against it. It's the insitence of some who are witless about it that preach it like a religion, that get on my nerves.
It's not a fact! and they just can't seem to know it. Especially since it's been politicized. It's one big propaganda ring with the media and certain politicians. That's the part that I hate.
Here is something counter to all that. It's rare to see something counter to Evolution that is done so well.

Who says Christians don't have faith in evolution? i do no longer know any Christian who doubts the actual evidence dug up by capacity of archeologists and different scientists by way of the years. We in basic terms don't have faith that evolution occurred in a quickly line from ameoba to guy, yet that there have been many fake starts that did no longer artwork out greatest as much as us. And from what i've got study, some scientists are additionally beginning off to be sure a larger photograph than Darwin observed. Who had a conversing donkey interior the Bible? Sounds to me such as you acquire that off a trademark particular comic strip. And the place interior the Bible does it say Noah delivered each and every species on earth interior the process the flood on an ark? Noah might have delivered animals accessible in his section. Duh. there are various theories on the subject of the snake. some people think of it represents an alien visitation. Magical fruit? Are you conversing on the subject of the "fruit" of the tree of wisdom? Christians have not believed interior the "apple" for extremely it sluggish. have you ever on no account heard the expression "end results of your labors"? we don't know what that "tree" incredibly replaced into, we in basic terms know the "fruit" replaced into some thing Adam and Eve weren't meant to clutter with. And it would not say "whale", it says "large fish". perhaps Jonah have been given scooped up by capacity of an alien submarine. Christians have come a protracted way of their seek to understand the Bible, and interior the approach maximum persons have progressed very open minds and a extra robust tolerance for the ideals of others. it incredibly is too undesirable snarky little village atheists like your self can no longer say the comparable. perhaps the question you are able to desire to have asked is why Christians' minds are open adequate to have faith in some thing in some thing they could't put in their mouths. in assessment to yours, interestingly.

Because they're fed misconceptions by others such as Kent Hovind who himself peddles the bastardized creationist version; which is basically the big bang, abiogenesis and evolution twisted with half truths and outright lies.

The majority of Christians do not denounce it. A small vocal group hate it so much that they will abandon the teachings of Christ to defend select passages from Genesis 1-6.
