Relationships are all about both giving and taking. Ideally, it should be 50/50, but in my experience there will always be times when someone is giving more than the other person and it will alternate between the two of you. One week it may be 30/70 and then the next week it will be 80/20. You constantly have to work at your relationship if you want it to work.

Depends on the situation. I would choose to be comfortable with myself. I think the ultimate aim is still to be yourself and also respect the other person. Give and take is too techincal for me. You can give 10 and take 5, or take 10 and give 5. It doesn't matter to me. You cannot measure love and so there is no fair game of give and take too.

of course a relationship cannot be one-sided then its not really a relationship. Communication, trust, commitment etc are all other important elements but no one wants to be on the short end of a relationship both people need to be equally satisified emotionally, physically etc.
